Saylor-Beall Fine Air Compressors

Why Saylor-Beall?

  • 5-year pump warranty
  • Saylor-Beall has been making Industrial-Duty Air Compressors since 1915.  Today’s Pumps reflect an evolution and broadening of applications so that they can fulfill the requirements of everyone from the garage hobbyist to the most demanding industrial applications utilizes.
  • Saylor-Beall is proud to exclaim, "Made in the USA!" unlike many of their competitors
  • Parts availability: only a phone call away and as near as your computer
  • Splash Lube or Forced oil lubrication (oil pump). Saylor-Beall offers BOTH! Why? Because Saylor-Beall knows that a well-designed splash system eliminates the need of an oil pump in 85% of the cases! Dirty air conditions or running the compressor very hard may necessitate an oil pump but the sad fact is that most times when a pump goes bad, it is due to a LACK OF OIL. We, therefore recommend that if you are running the compressor unattended that you consider the use of a "low-oil shutoff." This is available for ever model of Saylor-Beall Piston Compressor that we sell. Please call for more information.

How to choose your compressor

Points of consideration:

  • Many Options Available:
    • Oil Pump (with or without a spin-on oil filter)
    • Low-Oil Shutoff Feature
    • Vibration Pads
    • Motor Starter
    • Air or Water-cooled After-coolers
    • Auto Tank Drain
    • Y-Strainer
    • Air Intake Mufflers
  • Available voltage (Single phase or 3-phase)
  • Pressure required (Saylor-Beall comes standard with ratings to 175PSI)
  • Volume of air required (Our 5-Hp beats their 6.5 "Hp Peak". Who knows what that means!)
  • Hp you think you may need. You are better off looking at volume though. The reason for this is that if you have been looking at discount offerings on the web and big box stores, you will find that Saylor-Beall does not exaggerate Output or Horsepower. Buy what your equipment requires +25%. If you plan on expansion, you may want to buy the next size up. This is where we can help you make the proper choice.
  • We encourage you to call if you have questions or are unsure of the terminology: 1-419-779-3638
